Nonna’s Custard Recipe
A kids custard recipe everyone should have up their sleeve!
Ingredients:
1 extra large free range egg (preferably organic)
2 tablespoons cornflour
1.5 cups organic milk (or calcium fortified milk substitute)
2-3 teaspoons raw sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions:
1. Whisk egg and cornflour until smooth
2. Then whisk in milk
3. Bring to boil on stove and keep stirring whilst heating for approx 5 mins
4. Once the custard starts to “puff“ at you it is ready - turn heat off
5. Add sugar and vanilla essence
