Homemade Pizza
Use up the veggies and herbs the kids like for this quick and easy crowd pleaser the family can share.
Ingredients:
Pizza bases – can use wholemeal pita bread for healthier option
Tomato paste (or tomato passata is fine)
Dried or fresh herbs diced finely
Cheese
Roasted capsicum pieces (in jar)
Olives – either halved or finely diced
Other chopped veg – onion, capsicum, tomatoes,
Optional - shredded chicken, pineapple, other meats
Note: can puree roasted red capsicum into the tomato paste to further increase the vegetable content.
Directions:
1. Spread tomato paste or passata on base, then sprinkle with herbs (eg oregano)
2. Get children to add their favourite toppings
3. Finish with finely grated cheese
4. Pop in a 200 degree oven for 10-15 mins until ready
