How to cook rice in a Saucepan

Ingredients

1.5 cups Basmati Rice

6 cups water

Method

1. Add rice to saucepan (approx. 18cm diameter) and then rinse under tap for 30 seconds. Stir with spoon and then tip water out (leaving rice in the pan).

2. Add 6 cups fresh water and then place on stove.

3. Bring to boil and keep boiling for 12-15 mins until rice is just cooked.

4. Strain then return rice to the saucepan and place lid over to keep it warm.
